BCom project topics
24 topics for a BCom final year project. A BCom project report is a study in accounting, banking, taxation or commerce, built on a survey or on published financial data. These topics use data a student can collect or download without special access.

How to choose your BCom topic
- Pick a topic where you can reach 50 to 100 respondents yourself: classmates, your building, shopkeepers on one street.
- Narrow it with a place and a group. "Consumer behaviour" is a subject; "online grocery buying among working women in Thane" is a topic.
- Write three objectives before you commit. If you cannot, the topic is still too wide.
- Check that published studies exist for your literature review. A Google Scholar search of the topic should return at least ten.
Questions
Which topic is easiest for a BCom project?
One with data you can get this week. A customer survey of 50 to 100 people on banking or shopping habits, or a ratio analysis of a listed company from its published annual reports, can both be completed without special permission.
Do I need a survey for a BCom project?
Not always. A study built on published financial statements uses secondary data and needs no questionnaire. Your methodology chapter should state which kind of data the project uses.
