Terms of Service

1. Using BlackBook

BlackBook (blackbook.study) writes blackbooks and project reports for students, and runs a store where students sell their own finished projects. By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Your account

  • Sign up with an email address that is yours and that you can open. We send a code to it to confirm it, and your receipts and documents are tied to it.
  • One person, one account. Keep your password to yourself; what is done from your account is your responsibility.
  • If you are under 18, use BlackBook with the knowledge of a parent or guardian, who should make any payment.

3. What BlackBook AI writes for you

You give a title and a few details, and BlackBook AI writes one of two documents: a blackbook for a project with coding, or a project report for a study with no coding. Both come with a cover page, certificate, chapters, and diagrams or charts, which you can edit.

  • It is a draft, and it is yours to check. It is written by software and can contain mistakes. Read it, correct it, and make it match your own project before you submit it.
  • Figures and survey data are examples. Survey responses, tables, charts, test results and similar numbers in a written document are illustrative. Replace them with the data from your own work. Check every reference before relying on it.
  • Your college's rules are yours to follow. You are responsible for following your institution's rules on originality and on the use of AI tools. We do not promise that a document will be accepted, pass a plagiarism or AI check, or earn any particular marks.
  • The document is yours. You may edit, print and submit what is written for you. You keep the rights in the details and content you give us.

4. Free writing and payment

  • Written first. Where free writing is offered, your document is written before you pay. You can read its opening chapter and see every chapter it has. The rest, editing, and the PDF and Word downloads are unlocked by one payment for that document.
  • Limits on free writing. You can have one written document waiting to be unlocked at a time, and a limited number of free writes on an account. Once those are used, payment is taken before a new document is written. We may change these limits, or pause free writing, at any time.
  • Fair use. Creating more than one account to get more free writes, or copying a locked document out of the editor instead of unlocking it, is not allowed and can lead to the accounts being closed.
  • Price. The price is the one shown to you before you pay. It is a single payment for one document, not a subscription. Payments are handled by Razorpay; we never see or store your card or UPI details.
  • Documents you do not unlock. A written document that is never unlocked may be removed from your account after 90 days.
  • Refunds. See the Refund Policy. Because you can read a document before paying for it, a payment is not refunded once the document is unlocked, except where something went wrong on our side.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use BlackBook to produce content that is illegal, hateful, abusive or sexually explicit, or to copy someone else's work and pass it off as written for you. Do not try to break, overload or get around the service, its limits or its payment. We may look at what is generated to keep to these rules and to fix problems.

6. Project Store

  • Your own work: You may only upload content that you own or have clear permission to sell. Plagiarised uploads are removed and the account may be closed.
  • Earnings: Sellers receive the stated share of the base price for each sale. Earnings can be withdrawn after the refund window and once the minimum amount is reached, and are paid to your UPI ID.
  • Buyers: A store sale is final once the project is unlocked, except as set out in the Refund Policy.

7. Referral program

You can invite friends with your referral link or code, as described on the Refer & earn page. A friend new to BlackBook gets a discount on their first purchase, on every document in that purchase, and you earn a cash reward for each once they have paid. A code works once for each new student, on their first purchase only. Rewards are held for 7 days, are paid to your UPI ID, and are cancelled if the payment is refunded. Referring yourself, or accounts created to collect rewards, are not paid, and we may withhold rewards and suspend accounts that abuse the program. We may change or end the program; rewards already earned will still be paid.

8. Our responsibility

BlackBook is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and to keep your documents safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the document or purchase the claim is about.

9. Closing accounts

You can stop using BlackBook at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Documents you have paid for remain yours to download before an account is closed, unless it is closed for fraud or abuse.

10. Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use BlackBook means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of India. Questions: support@blackbook.study. See also the Privacy Policy.
