MBA blackbook project
An MBA project or dissertation is expected to be rigorous: a clear research problem, a literature review that frames it, a sound methodology and statistical analysis. Many are based on the summer internship, written up as a research study.

Chapters of a MBA project report
After the front matter (cover page, certificate, declaration, acknowledgement, abstract, table of contents), a typical MBA report has these chapters. Your department’s guidelines come first where they differ.
Chapter 1: Introduction
Background, definitions, statement of the problem, objectives, hypotheses, scope, limitations and the scheme of the report.
Chapter 2: Literature Review
The theory behind the topic, what earlier studies found, the frameworks used to analyse it and the research gap.
Chapter 3: Research Methodology
Research design, sampling, data sources, instruments, analytical tools, ethics and the fieldwork schedule.
Chapter 4: Field Study, Profile and Analysis
The organisation or sector studied: its profile, what was observed, the interview and a SWOT analysis.
Chapter 5: Data Analysis and Interpretation
A table and a chart for each survey question, each with its interpretation, and the testing of the hypotheses.
Chapter 6: Findings and Recommendations
The findings of the study, practical recommendations and a framework built from them.
Chapter 7: Conclusion and Scope for Future Research
The conclusion, what it means in practice, the scope for further research and what the student learned.
Chapter 8: Bibliography and Annexures
The bibliography in your college style, the questionnaire used for the survey and the interview schedule.

What examiners look for
- Frame hypotheses and test them with the right statistical test; state the test and the result.
- The literature review should end with the research gap, not just a list of studies.
- Mark limitations honestly: sample size, geography, time.
