BE / BTech Computer project topics
24 topics for a BE / BTech Computer final year project. A BE or BTech computer engineering project usually runs over two semesters: literature survey and design first, implementation and results after. These topics have published work to survey and results you can measure.
These are ideas, not an official list. Your guide approves the topic, so take two or three to them.
BE / BTech Computer project topics: ai, machine learning and vision
Needs a literature survey of recent papers, a dataset, a comparison with at least one existing method, and results in tables and graphs.

How to choose your BE / BTech Computer topic
- Pick a problem you have seen yourself: your college, your society, a relative’s shop. You will be able to explain it without notes in the viva.
- Check that you can build it with what you already know, plus one new thing. Two new frameworks in one semester is where projects stall.
- Make sure it has data to store and at least two kinds of user. That gives you an ER diagram, use cases and test cases worth writing about.
- Search your college’s past projects. A common topic is fine if your version does something the others did not; say what that is in Chapter 1.
Questions
Does a BE or BTech project need a research paper?
Many colleges ask for one paper to be published or presented, often in the final semester. Check your department’s rule early, because a topic with measurable results is much easier to turn into a paper.
How many members are in a BE project group?
Commonly three or four, set by the department. The blackbook should make each member’s contribution clear, because the viva often asks each person about their part.
